LOOKING for: Tea Cake

I am looking for a recipe for tea cakes. Back in 1962 I worked in the Business Office at Queen of Angels Hospital in Los Angeles and on break we would eat in the cafeteria. The tea cake was sweet and had a distinct taste that I am not sure of but was oh so delicious. Would love to know how to make them. Thanks!

Tea Cake is a term for any sweet quick bread or "bisquit"...there is no one recipe for "tea cake"...but many, all different.
Was it a lemon flavor? Almond? Did it have nuts and raisens? Was it a cookie or a slice of cake or a muffin like thing?
We need a lot more info to be able to help.
