Old fashioned heavy white wedding cake with thick white frosting that was so sweet that it almost tasted like it had silver in it (sorry, best description I can come up with)
Anyone have such a recipe?
Nothing in the cake just a white heavy cake and super sweet (not buttercream) frosting.
I have had a craving for this for months! Can't find anything like it in any store.
Please help..

I know exactly the kind of cake you're talking about. It isn't a pound cake either. The frosting is made with shortening. I'll see what I can find.
