It is a wonderful recipe, It's very much like Shoneys strawberry pie.

I got this tip from a gal that worked for Shoneys.

Take a plastic straw, push it from pointed end through stem, and you have a whole cored strawberry.

Strawberry Pie

1½ quarts fresh (or frozen strawberries)
1 heaping cup sugar
3 tablespoons cornstarch
½ cup water (or juice from berries if frozen)
9-inch baked pastry shell

Crush enough strawberries to make 1 cup (blender). In a saucepan, combine sugar and cornstarch. Add crushed strawberries and water. Cook over medium heat until boils and thickens, stirring constantly; cool. Add remaining whole strawberries to glaze mixture and toss lightly just to coat. Arrange in baked pie shell; chill. Serve with whipped cream

RE: RECIPE: Simple Strawberry Pie

Great recipes! I have some beautiful strawberries in the Frigidaire I bought on sale at the store the other day. I was thinking since we recently had strawberry shortcake, a pie might be just the thing!
