RECIPE: Simple Strawberry Pie

1 1/2 cup water
1 1/2 cup sugar
3 T. cornstarch
Boil until thickened. Take of heat
& add 1 box of strawberry jello,Cool
Add 1 quart strawberries (I slice mine) and put into baked pie shell.
Yield: 2 shallow pies |

| It is a wonderful recipe, It's very much like Shoneys strawberry pie. I got this tip from a gal that worked for Shoneys. Take a plastic straw, push it from pointed end through stem, and you have a whole cored strawberry. |

| Strawberry Pie 1½ quarts fresh (or frozen strawberries) 1 heaping cup sugar 3 tablespoons cornstarch ½ cup water (or juice from berries if frozen) 9-inch baked pastry shell Crush enough strawberries to make 1 cup (blender). In a saucepan, combine sugar and cornstarch. Add crushed strawberries and water. Cook over medium heat until boils and thickens, stirring constantly; cool. Add remaining whole strawberries to glaze mixture and toss lightly just to coat. Arrange in baked pie shell; chill. Serve with whipped cream Marilyn |

| Great recipes! I have some beautiful strawberries in the Frigidaire I bought on sale at the store the other day. I was thinking since we recently had strawberry shortcake, a pie might be just the thing! |
