I think the Grapenuts should as should the rice crispies.
There was this yummy cookie that one of my babysitters always made when I was growing up.
I swear they had rice crispies in them...They were kin to the "potato" chip cookies. I'd love to find the recipe for those "crispy" cookies.

My mom made these for us when we were kids.

Rice Krispie Cookies

6 oz. butterscotch chips
2 T peanut butter
2 cups rice cereal

Melt first 3 ingredients slowly. When melted, fold in cereal and drop by spoonfuls on wax paper.

This sounds pretty tasty to me!!

Grapenuts Breakfast Cookies

1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1-1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup Grapenuts
2 tbsp. frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
1 tbsp. orange zest
1 egg
1 tsp. baking powder

Preheat oven to 350º F.
In medium bowl, beat together butter, sugar, egg, orange juice concentrate
and orange peel until light and fluffy. Add flour and baking powder, beating
until blended. Stir in cereal.
Drop by tsp. 2" apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes or
until edges are golden. Remove from cookie sheet for cooling.
Makes 1.5 dozen

Sounds like a good one, Glenda. Do you double it? Sounds like it doesn't make a lot. chery
