LOOKING for: German Cheese Cake

Posted by pikecoe (My Page) on

I had a recipe for a German Cheese Cake that used Zweibeck "baby teething biscuits" crushed for the crust. I've lost it and it was the best cheese cake I've ever had. Anyone have this recipe? Glenda

See if the one below is similar.

Here is a link that might be useful: Kasekuchen

No, but that sounds good. The one I had didn't have lemon or cottage cheese. It did have sour cream and cream cheese, but I can't remember all the ingredients or amounts. After it finished baking, you were to turn off the oven and don't even open the oven door for 1 hour then you only crack the oven door for another hour. It was very light and fluffy and was hard to get to come out right, but when it did it was devine. Thanks Glenda

Try this one. You don't have to use the lemon garnish & just substitute vanilla extract for the vanilla bean.

That looks like it would be delicious. I'll try it soon. Thanks Glenda
