Have you used Command strips on a fiberglass door?

We have a brand new fiberglass front door. I'd like to hang a little Welcome sign on it and see that Command has an outdoor product line. However, on their question and answer page, it states that the products are for "smooth, sealed and finished surfaces including vinyl siding and fences, windows, doors, decks, gutters and trim."

Have you used a Command strip on a fiberglass door? If I can't hang my little sign on the door, my DIL suggested using a brick clip and hanging the sign next to the door. Does anyone have any experience with a brick clip?

Yes, I hang swags on my fiberglass door using a command hook. The first hook stayed up for 5 years before it gave away.

roarah - did you use the Command adhesive strips for outdoor use? I'm still a little reluctant to use anything on the door because it's so new. I may call the store where we purchased the door and get their advice.

I have used them for years on my front two doors for wreaths and they have worked great!

I have not used Command strips, but I have a new door and was concerned about scratches from my holiday wreath on a windy day. My solution was to hot glue pieces of felt to the back on my wreath and my wreath hangar to protect the door. So far,so good.
