Location of doorbell buzzer

So, I didn't think to specify where to put the buzzer and my electrician put it on the outside of the door frame. I was thinking it would go on the door frame (that is what my current house has). I looked at pictures on Houzz and I guess it is done either way.

Does this look good, or should I have him switch it to the frame?

I think it looks fine too. Just be happy, that he put it on the right side of the door. My door opens same way as yours does, and the doorbell is on the opposite side of the door. Since the house is stone, there is no easy way to change it.

cat, and since most people are right-handed, it makes sense that doorbells would be on the right side. And I'm a southpaw saying that.

I think it looks great! Ours is not even on the door wall, it's on a perpendicular wall under our porch light...like 2 1/2 feet from the door LOL!
