hanging 2 14" x 18" pictures over Bed help

My headboard is 64" wide. 45" between top of headboard and the crown moulding.

I know from other postings that I should hang them closer to headboard so I am thinking 9" up. My question is how many inches between the two pictures?

Subtracting 28" from 64" leaves 36". I don't want them to look lost over the bed. I have been looking for something to hang over the bed for 2 1/2 years. Finally found these two framed sea fans and love them. I just found this website and I have seen some very helpful answers posted so I am very hopeful you guys can help. Thanks!

A good trick I've learned is to cut out a couple sheets of butcher paper or something to the same size as your artwork. Then tape them on the wall where you want and see what looks best. You can dink around with the spacing to your heart's content without putting a million holes in the wall.
