I'm currently doing a gut renovation of my 1 bedroom apartment in NYC. I am planning an open concept kitchen which opens into the living room and dining/den area. I am going for a very modern/sleek design so I decided on installing recessed lighting.

I've just installed 6 inch LED recessed lights throughout the apartment, and now I'm thinking they look too big! They are evenly spaced about 6 ft apart in the kitchen, living room, dining/den area and bedroom. Everything is on dimmers.

Should I replace them with 4 inch recessed lights instead? I'm attaching some pics and plans to help visualize the space. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
