I have not ordered it. In "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie" fashion, my DR chandelier is being held up by my LR wallpaper samples. I don't want to finalize my DR chandy until I have decided on walls and or rug for the DR, but I don't want to do that until I have chosen the rug in my LR (they are connected by a pocket door). And right now I can't choose a LR rug because they are out of samples of the wallpaper I am considering!

Anyway, I found someone on Etsy who makes these. I don't know what the deal is, or who started making/selling first, but there are exactly the same thing as the product I see from Low Country Originals. They can customize the size or other features. The people are very nice and very professional.

They had quoted me, for a 36W x 56L x 24H "ark" shape, done in copper and then naturally verdigris, with bobeches and small holes that could be used to hang oyster shells or just kept plain, $2800. I think the original is over $4000 so that's a nice saving, plus you can get the right size.

That's very helpful, thanks for the info! I want something visually light, so as not to distract from the marble island top. I think the LCO one is almost perfect, and the right size would be even better :)
