So funny. Mine is in the wash right now. It is also a king size, but I don't intend to dry it in the dryer. It is long enough on both sides, so if it shrinks a little, it will still be fine.

I have two of their matelasse shower curtains which I recently washed, but also didn't dry in the dryer, and neither shrunk. I did hang them, though, after they were washed, and kind of pulled them taut.

Thanks deeinohio-- I may just dry mine on air only. I do like the fact that it is longer on the sides in case shrinkage occurs.

Although this was quite some time ago, I washed and dried (low heat) a Peacock Alley matelasse after failing to find someone who could dry clean it for a reasonable amount of $$. If memory serves the shrinkage was significant (to me as before washing the size was perfect). It's been a while, but I think it was at least 3 inches or more of shrinkage. If you are okay with that kind of shrinkage...I will add that after the initial shrinkage, it pretty much stayed the same size with repeated washing and drying and really held up well for several years.

I have Peacock Alley matelasses on two guest room beds. Both are extremely over-sized and I would love them to have shrank in the wash, but they didn't. :(

I just washed a new Peacock Alley coverlet that I purchased at Tuesday AM. It shrank quite a bit (after drying.)

I did finish washing mine. I washed on regular cold, then dried outside. It did shrink, but still covers the box spring on our sleigh bed.
