Seriously, if YOU have never noticed, why would anyone else? And if you like it, why not? Besides, is someone spills on the middle of the FR, you can easily swap them out and the spill is hidden under the bed. No, really, you could probably switch them out every year so that they wear evenly and last longer.

Of course! People do it all the time. I wish I'd done that with my other rug that I just gave away.

When we put hardwood floors in our house, we got rugs for the living room and dining room. The living room came first; then we found a rug for our dining room that I absolutely love. It has held up a lot better than the one in the living room, and looks nicer. I wish I had bought two of the DR style. The colors go great with my flooring in the dining room - no reason they wouldn't look great in the living room too.

If you like the rug and it goes well in both rooms, why not?

If you like the rug, it complements the decor and it's in your budget ... do it.

I wouldn't. But only because I tend to like too many things. I'd want the opportunity to try something else. But if you're happy and esp if the two rooms can't be seen together, it's not an issue.
