I recently purchased a beautiful blanket that is a mix of 75% wool and 25% cashmere. Unfortunately, it sheds like a German shepherd in summer. In searching the Internet, the cure for such shedding ranges from "it will always shed" to "wash it in cold water and air dry it", even though it is labeled dry clean only.

I thought I might take it to the dry cleaners and see if they had any suggestions, but I wanted first to check here to see if anyone has any personal experience with fabric of this type and could share their solution for the shedding problem.
