Decorating Christmas tree

I am trying to decide how to decorate my tree this year. I have seen some strands of beads this year that look beautiful. But I know too that only beads strung may look a bit bare. I have some sprays bought too this year sparkly red and cranberries. I also bought a narrower ribbon 3". the last few years I had the wide ribbon and billowed it throughout the tree. Looking for a change. Would it be too much for ribbon sprays and beads? Ribbon and beads gold, sprays red.

I'm of the mind a Christmas tree can't be over-decorated. I've never done ribbon and garlands, but I don't think you can miss with the red and gold color scheme.

Not much help to you; I'm an ornament nut, having collected many on European travels, and the more the merrier.

Beads mounted on the top near the star will look gorgeous. Moreover you can also decorate with golden and silver garlands. Overall the objective is to make it more prettier than the previous one. Also you can plant a real Christmas tree on this auspicious occasion.
