Name this chair style

I came across this photo online and recalled the darling set of chairs in this style we had in our first house as newlyweds. I might search for another set to use on our veranda. So cute.

Some type of parlor chair?

They're vintage kitchen chairs. I believe they are about 1920ish.
Don't know if there is a specific name. Still searching for you.

I too would love to know this style, as I'm trying to find more of them! I lucked upon one of them this spring, and have been on the hunt for more ever since.

I love this vintage style, as it makes me nostalgic remembering that my great aunt used to have this style in her kitchen, and I would like them for mine too.

Sandy, yours is some type of brace back spindle chair, but the ones I posted don't have the bracing in back.

I wonder if both would fall under the Windsor umbrella? Yours looks far more Windsor-y than mine.

there are two sellers on ebay calling them "Dutch" style. first set is near the top, set of three further down.

Olychick, you've had better luck than I did! I tried googling every name I could think of, but I would have never guessed Dutch!

Jujubean, I've looked up brace back chairs and windsor chairs also, but never have any luck with the results.

Even something like arch top brings me to something totally different.

I found this one at a second hand furniture store one day, and the man there said he had 2 of them the day before, but someone came in and only wanted one...who only wants ONE chair?!? Lol, so I grabbed it when I saw it, and I've been looking for another ever since!

Our local CL had 4 of them displayed with a vintage enamel top table. Worth a try.

Thought of fiddleback, too. Didn't consider Dutch but will try that.

I have found a few listed as 1930s vintage chairs. No other description given.

They remind me of the 40s/50s when maple was used in kitchens and dining. I'm far from a historian, but childhood brings me memories of them and the Ad Men kitchen.
