I have these in the green apple velvet, with the pewter nailhead trim (yes we may be crazy to have velvet in the kitchen but it is far from the "action"). The swivel feature has a memory function and so "swings back" in place. The seat is higher than most which is perfect, as many counter stools are too low. I don't know how they will hold up to heavy use (the foam) but the structure is sturdy and the metal foot rests are handy. Overall, we are quite pleased. They look great, feel great and were far less expensive than other alternatives.
