liming furniture

Have any of you gurus ever limed a piece of old furniture? I love the look. I have a line armoire that has been striped of all finish. How would I achieve the look? Would I have to put a finish over the liming mixture?

I have never done it, but the link below tells how to get a lime finish.

Thanks for you response, "my3dogs." It sounds so easy, I think that I will give it a try. Do you think that it will work on pine? (Sorry for the earlier typo.)

I do; in fact many years ago, when I stripped countless layers of paint off this old pine piece, I stained it with with an old product by Minwax that had a slightly whitened look, which doesn't show all that well in the pic. I didn't want this piece to age with the orange-y color that pine often does, although I love that look on other pine pieces. The key is getting all of the old finish off.
