outdoor lighting in a bathroom - "dark sky??"

has anyone used "Dark sky" lighting?

supposedly "dark sky" refers to a larger shade/canopy or other means to prevent a lot of upward lighting on outdoor light fixtures thus preventing "light pollution."

i've found an outdoor wall fixture i love and want to put in as the only lighting in a very small bathroom. the fixture says it casts a very broad downward light, but inhibits upward light. i would THINK that's ok over a vanity, right? i guess i'd request that they mount it as high as possible?

any experience with this? other thoughts?

this is what it looks like if it helps:
