This theme decorating starts to look dated pretty quickly. Seashells at the seashore? Maybe step it up a bit.

I think the lamp looks better in this setting. It looks fine.

You need more heft in the mirror, the lamp, and things on the table, like Beverly's first image.

Also, use a light hand with the theme. We get it. : )

Why the tacky replies to Dorry, unless I missed something? I saw the other topic and didn't see any more shells. A shell mirror and a shell on the lamp, so what? lol

Dorry, I can't really tell how it looks since the picture is upside down. I can't change it around on my PC for some reason. I think it will be fine once you add more accessories to the table. The lamp won't stand out that way.

I don't care for the lamp. The one Tibb posted on your other thread with the matte brass metal shade looked good.

I like the mirror and the lamp looks much better on this table, but I do think it's too many "themed" things (shells) together. If you already own the lamp and are looking for a spot for it, do you have a counter in the bathroom where it might make a fun addition? Or maybe it would be better suited to a bedroom, if you have a spot?

If you decide to use it with the shell mirror, I'd offset the mirror/table so that the lamp wasn't smack in front of the mirror, though.

I think it is super cute for a beach house. The only thing is maybe, a little bit bigger shade. However, that is not necessary. Nice job!!!! Hope you will post more pics of your house!
