I have all of her books, and there is something different in all of them.

But, you asked about those two particular ones, and I feel that they are not so "different" but complementary to each other. If you like her style, then I feel you will not regret having both of those books. She is big on vignettes, layering, collections, a certain abundance, she uses alot of natural decorations, overall I feel her books offer a traditional and somewhat eceletic feel to the designs, her rooms are filled with a warmth and cozyness that I would love to acheive myself.

You can also go to the library to compare the two. If you have a Barnes and Noble near by you can look at the books there before buying too, they are great at ordering the books (if they don't have them in stock) for you to "look" before you buy.

IMO YES, YES, YES!!!! Feather Your Nest is wonderful. I have asked DH for the new Christmas book as a Thanksgiving gift :^)...I told him that it would be pointless to wait until Christmas. He rolled his eyes.....

Jaybird, I have the new Christmas book, it is very nice, but she did pare down the "abundance look" from her previous Christmas book, she states she has taken a simpler approach in this years decor. But never fear, there was still alot of concentration in her abundant use of decorating with nature (more use of pinecones, greenery, rather than flashy ornaments). I think you will like her newest book.

I bought the newest Christmas book from Amazon - good deal. I don't know about the "pared down" look in the Christmas book - I thought the dining room table in that book was soooo over-done and the picture of the table with the antique basket underneath all overflowing with beautiful things...fun for pictures but hard to live like that....but I do love her collections and style.
