I am getting different bids from pro painters this week-- one of them said that she always gravitates to greens. I think unless one doesn't like greens, they work so well!

Greens look great with stained wood. It works in nature, so it should in your home.

So true! I learned this about 5 years ago when I was struggling to find a good neutral for a pine trimmed room at our summer house. I finally tried Revere Pewter and it was perfect!! I felt like I had discovered one of the great color tricks of all time!

When the TV show Murphy Brown was on the air, I fell in love with the forest green with wood in the scenes that took place in her home (especially towards the end of season one). When we finally bought our first home a few years ago, my husband remembered how often I commented on it and bought Season One of the series for me. Although we do not have that lovely woodwork, much of our interior is painted various shades of green. I'm a landscaper--I feel comfortable surrounded by green.
