Decorating a small dated bathroom

| This is an apartment so i can't do anything like changing out fixtures, painting, etc....
walls and flooring are beige. cabinets are beige and brown. I figured to be safe a better follow a natural color scheme like browns etc. so i picked out the following shower curtain...

What do you think? also what color rugs would you use? solid, print, blue, brown, or beige.
Here is the bathroom. you get the idea. thanks! next thing i gotta work on is countertop decor..

| We had a similar tile color in one bath of our house and I went with white for towels and shower curtains. I like that for a small bath and those fluffy, clean white towels are SO nice. I did have to wash the white rug more often, but that was mostly due to dogs and guests' dirty shoes! Also, you can always change out the towel racks and tp holder with something nicer to dress up the bath-then take with you and replace with original when you leave. Another option is a clear liner used as the shower curtain to open the space since your tile and grout look nice. |

| well it's not my work, but it's something so impressive that I MUST post it again for you to look at. go to the search option for THIS forum and type in Avacado, something that you might seriously want to consider, IF you dont want to spend much $$$ |

| Since everything is neutral you could use whatever colors appeal to you in there. I like your shower curtain. If you're going to use that I'd probably pick a black rug. I do like the idea of big puffy white towels. |

| Annz - thank you for fixing my pics!!!!!!! cyn427 - the white seems like a good idea and i never thought about the clear liner - the tile does look nice Sheesharee - I think white fluffy towels will look nice as well. |

| It's hard to tell about the shower curtain. The ad says "brown", but like sheesharee, I see it as black. The ad also speaks of a felt-like pattern, and that reminds me of flocked wallpaper. Can you look at a few more curtains that would pick up the beige of your tile, and then introduce a new color? The beige tile, and then brown and blue curtain, I don't see working well together. |

| The bathroom has clean modern lines with the vanity. That shower curtain is too ornate to use in that particular bathroom since you cannot even paint or change anything to coordinate with the look. Judging from what you have chosen it looks like you want something feminine and sophisticated. One option is to go with a minimalistic upscale look punctuated with natural elements like bamboo and crystal for sparkle.
Or go hog wild with an explosion of bold color in the curtain, towels and rug, drawing the eye away from the institutional architecture of the bathroom.
