Being a lift console EC, the shelves are behind closed doors and the top flips up, so I can't put anything on it. Buy next to it, on the adjacent piece, I have a santo lamp I had made for an antique and a small floral piece. They sit on a hand-woven runner from Chimayo, NM.

Above our EC, I have these three pieces, all handmade by an Oklahoma artist. They're not paintings, but real wearable pieces. DH is part Oklahoma Chickasaw Indian, so these are very special to us.

Ours is built-in.

All of the components reside in our previous entertainment center located on the opposite side of the room. At least I can close the door and make them disappear.

I just remembered that I have another EC in our guest room and this is a traditional one. The room is done with Western fabrics, art, books (lots of books!), etc. Not a "themed room" because this is the West, after all ;^D
I took this pic right before the tv died. The new one fills the space and you don't see the cord hanging down behind it.

Our guest rooms are not large enough to permit an entertainment center with the furniture in place. So, I installed TV's in the closets where they can be viewed by opening a door. Most frequent quests are grandchildren and really the only ones who watch while in bed.
