Hello Everyone - I seem to be addicted to this blog. I wish you could help me pick out colors in person! That said...would you consier BM Flowering Herbs (very very close to BM Richmond Gray) a neutral? I currently have BM Baby Turtle in my family room and am thinking about painting the rest of my downstairs Flowering Herbs. What other colors go well with Flowering Herbs?

I just checked my samples of FH and RG. They are exactly the same formula.

Hey, I am interested in this also. They are certainly neutral in my home because I am decorating with greens, beige, golds and reds. I also am looking for another coordinating color. BT in a powder room that shows off the LR, Kitchen is FH. My DR is a soft buttery yellow which looks good with the FH. Now I am trying to come up with a good color to coordinate with these for my LR which is a tan (Desert Fortress) and I am not liking it with my floors and other paint. My LR, DR, and Kitchen actually are open to each other with a view into each room. I have actually thought about using the lighter color on that strip (Limestone). I need to stay light. I just thought of another color you could use - Believable Buff. My daughter has that and I am convinced it would look good with the greens. Unfortunately, I don't think I can use it because of my soft yellow DR (Homestead Resort Sunwash) and I don't want to repaint the DR. Golden beiges and soft yellow just don't look good together. Hope you get some good suggestions. I will be watching! Tuesday

tuesday - Thank you for responding. I did paint over my BM Fernwood Green that I had in the foyer going into the dining room with BM Flowering Herbs. I really like it. So far it looks like a neutral. Now I'm not sure whether to paint over the fernwood green in the kitchen and my brookside moss dining room walls. Is the Homestead Resort Sunwash a BM color? I think I may paint over the brookside moss just because some furniture I'm going to put in there won't really work with it. I really wish I could use a rust/dark orange color but that won't work with my furniture either. Red or gold/yellow would work. I wish I could find a soft gold/yellow that I like. I've checked out Believable Buff. Nice color but I'm not sure about how it will work with my oak floors...even though I will have white trim. I wonder if SW Blonde would work. It has to work with the flowering herbs because that's one wall in the dining room. These are some other colors that were mentioned to me...Also BM Straw. I don't have any pics of it yet but it's a really nice soft buttery yellow that I used on the walls of a 9'X 8' room w/ Filtered Sunlight trim and Vanilla Ice Cream built in's. Very nice! We have Richmond Gray, aka Baby Turtle, in our main living area, with an adjacent wall painted 1/2 strength Pleasant Valley, and an area adjacent to that painted Brandon Beige. We love the sequence. The RG is a fascinating color, works beautifully with woods and metals, the Pleasant Valley is so cheery without being screamy, and the Brandon Beige is chameleon-like.

If you would like a very soft gold try BM Golden Straw I use to have it in my kitchen it is softer than BM Straw.

Homestead Resort Sunwash is Valspar from Lowes. It is not a golden yellow - more of a true creamy yellow - no orange, peach, or lemony undertones. Justa true soft yellow, looks good in all lighting - even sunshine in the afternoon!

I love SW Whole Wheat. It's just one darker than SW Believable Buff. I have it with oak floors and white trim. A very nice neutral with slightly gold undertones. It seems like Blonde would be alot golder.
