Help with curtain rods?

Jamie

I am not going to hang 'em high, so I at first thought that trim-colored rods were the way to go. I dipped all 56 rings and hung them up to dry, and the rods and finials, too.

But as usual I'm not overly delighted with the look. Here's a picture with the painted version, a stained version, and a metal rod propped on top of the painted one -- I didn't want to totally remove it from the packaging.

What you see is a temporary hang on one window. The rod will be slightly lower but basically where you see it. The other windows just have the standard white rods on them now - I ironed the panels and had to hang them somewhere.

Would any of these work?

Wood tone:

Metal rod from Lowes propped up. It has a tortoise shell glass finial that reminded me of the era of the furniture.
