need quick advice on entry door color

Hi everyone! We are getting ready to order our entry door for our new build. We will be getting a full view door, hopefully with narrow stiles and rails (I'm having a heck of a time).

The house is rustic contemporary has black framed windows, silver roof, vertical clear coated cedar siding and dark grey accent panels of board and batten. The section of siding surrounding the entry door will be the grey B&B. Would you go black on the door to match the windows or wood to stand out more against the board and batten? If wood, what stain color?

I don't have a great image to help visualize, but here's an elevation. The light areas are the natural cedar, the dark is the grey B&B. NOTE: The garage door will be painted dark grey, not wood tone. And we have omitted the stone.

If it were mine, I'd go for a pop of color. Especially if it's going to be a mostly glass door, a little color wouldn't be overwhelming. Plus it gives a visual cue as to where the front door is.....

I think I'd go with an ebony stain. Stained wood holds up much better than painted wood.

I agree with k9. Your house looks great! I love it!

We are building now as well. What brand of windows did you choose? We are going with with a dark bronze exterior window.

Thanks everyone! I had been trying to find a low-maintenance door (at the suggestion of pretty much everyone), but I think real wood is the only way to get what we really want. Which makes me happy, because I think that's what I really wanted all along :-) Stained it is.

aktillery- Thanks! We went with mostly Integrity windows with a few Marvins worked in where sizing made it necessary. We went with the ebony which is technically black, but it's not a jet black. My dad thought they were bronze when he saw them in the sunshine.
