show me pictures of dining room art??

I have an exterior wall in my dining room with two windows.
I have a chair rail and the upper wall is creamy off white and the bottom of the wall is sage green. The table runs parallel with this wall. There is approximately 44-45" between the windows and I really need a nice picture to hang there. I have a runner on my table and a beautiful glass vase (rectangular) with a pretty silk flower arrangement with two candles in glass candlesticks on either side. I wonder if a painting with flowers might be too much. I have seen some art work/prints with a child in a wildflower garden that looked nice. What do you all have hanging on your walls of your dining room??

A photo of Santa Cruz's "Coconut Grove" that I took on my first vacation with Mr Vix. [I blew it up and framed it several years later.] Visitors tend to compliment it, which I consider an opening to tell a (short) story I love!

Valinsv: that yellow/gold vase is stunning!
Here's our dining room art. I love art and collect it with a passion (woe to my DH!):
This hangs over the dining room windows:

This Peruvian Madonna hangs over our buffet:

This one hangs over the chest of drawers in there. It's of the Alhambra, as it looked soon after it was built:

This watercolor is hanging in our dining room, but really needs a new frame.

This handcarved santo hangs over our built-in hutch:

This very old watercolor of San Isidro, the patron saint of farmers and very beloved here in New Mexico, hangs over a small bookcase we have in there:

This one doesn't exactly go with my Spanish dining room, but I love it anyway. It hangs in the hutch area:

And to the right of our wine cab, I have a tin retablo of an angel hanging. I don't have a close-up of it:

Can you tell that I love art? ;^P

Here's mine. Not too dining-roomy, huh? I think I'll do "better" in the next house since this one has a spot picked out for it in the living room.

sheesharee - We bought the oil painting at a local artist gallery, from a visiting salesman. The gallery then framed the painting for us. We were looking for a low country painting, and the gallery called us to say they had something close. The painting actually has a small mountain in the background, but we love it anyway. :)

I can not make out the artist signature on the front. It starts with Court, but the rest is hard to read. I think that I have taped information onto the back frame (which I try to do with all our expensive artwork) and will take a look later this morning. If not, I may have stashed the information in a drawer.

Love those light fixtures, Amy.

Here is mine. I got this poster on a trip about twenty years ago and had it framed.

Sorry the pic is a little crooked.

Sanborn, I also have an outside wall in my dining room and
the piece of wall between two French Doors is 5 foot wide or so. I use to have a mirror on that piece of wall, then one day I got a brainstorm ...that I wanted a stained glass window in it's place. Took hubby with me to the stained glass store to help me choose a window...next thing I know he's buying a stained glass cutting kit.
We went to the library and got a few books on how to do it...I drew up a window design in scale, and we jumped in head first.

This is the second one we did in the dining room, again there was no window in this spot, I had two oil paintings in this spot, which I moved to the other side of the china cabinet. This is an operating Anderson window we put in and the stained glass window is mounted to the inside frame. The background is clear German antique glass, however there is a big green shrub outside with adds to the charm, I think. Our LR and DR walls are fabric covered with suede fabric, so installation of the windows was tricky, not to ruin the fabric. Also Hubby had just vinyl sided the house prior to making these windows...Oh well, we do everything backasswards anyhow! We have stained glass windows in our house, where there was no windows before! We're both so obsessive...our kids think we're nuts! That Christmas we made 12 stained glass windows for gifts! Our kids are right!

Both together...
