Weigh in? Black leather furniture on espresso wood floors?

Hello. Trying to visualize in my head whether I will regret not selling my black leather sofa and armchair with white piping (that I love) before moving into our new home that has all dark espresso colored wood floors and (will have) light colored walls)

I was thinking I might be able to save them if I put them in the study but I worry the black leather will look odd on the dark brown wood floor. When I google black leather sofas they are all on tile or natural oak. Black on brown ok? Ive attached a pic of the matching chair for quick reference.

I think you can successfully blend almost any neutral palette. If you feel the furniture will get lost, what about a light neutral rug?

A light colored rug will break up the dark sofa/dark floor and provide nice contrast.

Light rug will also camouflage the light dog hair (what a cutie!) which is always a constant battle with dark floors.:-)

Years ago I had a black leather couch with dark stained oak floors and it was fine. I had a colorful rug, pillows and the walls were cream.

I would move the furniture into your new home - you can always decide later to sell it if you don't see it working.

I love black and brown. By all means take the sofa and chair - and that sweet, sweet dog. You can put together so many combinations of color with the black and brown that you might not be able to do with other combos. This room is stunning, at least to me.
