Or a strand of them on an interesting piece of ribbon, or something, going from smallest at the top to largest at the bottom, or just different sizes randomly. Nice design for a narrow wall space that needs something.

I'm not sure what the general public uses them for, but those large spring clips were what we used when I was in art school to hold our paper onto drawing boards...so I sort of like that they are used on canvas boards, which are typically treated as studies, and not finished works. Check out art supply stores for the clips if you can't find them locally.

DD2 has a pretty paint by number piece w/no frame. I found self adhesive picture hangers that have fabric w/glue on back and round metal piece to hang on regular picture hangers.
