Online layout software

Is there an easy-to-use free or inexpensive software for laying out furniture to actual scale? Among other things, we're trying to decide what width of coffee table works - we will mock it up IRL, and could use graph paper, but software would presumably be easier.

I've used homestyler.com and found it to be fairly limited. Unless I'm missing something, it doesn't seem that you can change the size of the objects you are inserting into the layout? I've tried mocking up my kitchen and I couldn't customize the size of the cabinets or furniture. Is there a way to do this?
