Pictures would probably help get responses so we can visualize what you're asking for. Can you show us the couches, table/chairs and the area that you're trying to work with?

P.s. the carpet you see is an old one I am using it temporarly .... I need a bigger and brighter one.

Also, I was considering putting vinyl tall black or brown trees behind the couch (walls are snow white) .... Are vinyls tacky to use?
