Glueing down engineered 7.5" wood flooring...

Looks like I have to go with glueing down the new engineered hardwood flooring in my living room (I'm replacing carpet). The reason is, I live in the 2nd level of a condo and I have to use sound insulation barrier under the flooring. The underlay is not slab, it's plywood.

We can't nail down the floor because doing so would negate the sound barrier padding (nailing through it would, that is).

Any input from anyone on glueing down an engineered floor? My contractor probably won't have a problem doing so, I just never thought I'd be needing to go that route, so just looking for any feedback on it.
