Mtnrdredux: Colors for your waterfront home

I mussed posting this on the "goth" thread :-)

You mentioned your DH liked. the color combination of blue and coral, but you were leaning towards an aqua accent color. I was on the Serena and lily website and saw a beautiful soft plaid row in those colors--- blue, coral and aqua--- that looked like a very happy mix. All the colors were muted and pretty, but the combination was better than just the sum of parts. The throw is in the fifth row down on the linked page. (This darn ipad, so convenient except for posting pix on GW.) And at the bottom of the page is a color sample of a very muted coral even a colorphobe could love!

That is very lovely. I notice that a lot of these blue and white rooms really hew very close to those two colors.

I think I will decide if I want an accent color and what it is, toward the end. There is a very cool store near me called the House of Clement that for some reason is almost all an Hermes orange palette ... I need to check that out, too.

Lol, funcolors, I'm a born again believer in orange. I have an orange twilly that goes with navy, black, brown, beige, green, etc., etc., etc.. It's surprising what that little strip of color does for an outfit.
