..to those of you who convinced me to return the tile I had bought and get plain subway tiles. It looks so clean and classic and I can hardly wait to hang this rod with pretty decorative hooks over my stove top. Right after I bought the tile I was reading something by Maria Killam (found it here) about backsplash and she basically said don't let anyone, including yourself, talk you into busy patterns with a busy countertop. Also the original tile was almost 10 times as expensive as the subway tile. My kitchen is far from perfect but I love the soapstone and the colors and everytime I walk in there I just smile... I will post a picture as soon as I finish a couple of projects,
