I'm not a designer, but I would guess that these shades start at around $250 for the simplest ones and are probably $1,000 and up for some of the more intricate designs and designer fabrics and trim.

I've been in similar situations...and finally in a fit of fugue, I said about a lamp, 'I'll take it' (price unseen), and I was a mite shocked at the price when I got my receipt...it was more than I planned/wanted to spend, esp as it was not REALLY what I wanted..but couldn't find what I wanted.

Gets me to musing: What must one's budget be to be able to afford multiple lampshades at 1K each......hmmmmmm. I suppose just a couple of oligarchs with lots of lamps in their 40,000 sf homes can keep a company in business.

There is a lamp shop that we use a lot; it's in Austin. They have rewired lamps for me, made things into lamps, and made custom shades for me. I consider the prices astonishingly reasonable. I bet there are some lamp shops within striking distance from you. Usually they have samples of their work out, either for sale or waiting to be picked up by owners.
