I may be having second thoughts

I know sometimes we like many things and it is hard to pull the trigger on one. I have darkish hand scraped hickory floors in my new build. I have been wanting for a year now a light reclaimed wood dining table like the RH trestle or arhaus table with light tan tufted upholstered chairs. I actually have them on order, but delivery is on hold. For some crazy reason, I am reconsidering and thinking of a dark espresso table with chairs in a soft white. Ugh, I hate when this happens. I have no idea why this popped into my head so now I'm having second thoughts. What do you think?

Keep what you ordered. The contrast should look beautiful. I love dark wood floors, too, but IMHO, it's usually the contrast of white trim and other things against it that helps me appreciate the floors all the more. I think dark floors and a dark table may make each component feel less special on it's own.

We have dark floors and dark tables, and the tables just get lost in the room. Rugs would help, but I'm not ready for rugs under the tables yet because our kids are still so young. BUT... If you have a rug in mind then I think the dark tables would look great too.
