Odds of your changing the faucet are probably nil. I wouldn't do it.

If you have to, or decide to, change the faucet down the road, have the third hole put in then.

Tibbrix, I agree. I don't want the third hold and I just can't see changing out the faucet in the near future.

If the decorative cover is something you wish to have there
weather there is a hole or not ...
Drill the hole.
Why go through all the production of having a fabricator out to drill a hole if you find the the faucet not to your liking later on.

No, don't drill the extra hole. Work with what you have now. Save future problems (IF they happen) for the future. Who knows, you may want to change the countertop at that time, too.

The chance of the holes all being in exactly the right place for some future faucet is what? I would skip drilling the third hole for now.

Oh well. I didn't have a choice. They had already drilled the middle hole before coming here. It's fine. I'll take a photo tomorrow when my plumber installs the faucet.

Don't worry, it'll work out. And the chances of the holes being in the right place later on is probably close to 100%. I've installed expensive faucets and cheap ones and the 1 thing they have in common is that the holes line up. Otherwise, why would they make sinks that come with the holes already in them?

I really really like that faucet redsox24. No one will even notice the cover. Can't wait to see the finished product!

This is the faucet that was installed last year. I love it. Not a great photo but if you are ever thinking of buying this faucet, don't hesitate!
