Exterior Color Help

Hi all! We are building a home and need to pick exterior paint color ASAP per GC. The home is somewhat craftsman, somewhat cottage. Two story, white trim, medium/dark wood tone front door and garage doors.

Siding will be 6" fiber cement lap with Shake in peaks. Stone accents on porch columns and chimney.

We want a nice, rich, medium light sherwin Williams grey. Does anyone have any suggestions??

Of course -- the selection really depends on the tones in your stone and the siding colors .....

Hi Michelle,

We got some help for our exterior colours from an online colour consult (it was only $25.00). She gave us a plan for siding, brick, trim colour and door colour. Maybe she could help you? Her name is Barbara Meglis and her site is called Color Coach. Good luck. Exterior colours are hard to choose and very important too.

Teacats, I looked up functional grey and it was love at first sight. Thank you! I went to SW this afternoon and got a sample of it along with three other greys close on the scale. Will paint sample boards over the weekend to help is choose. Thanks a bunch!!!

Consider factory finished -pre painted- siding. Hardie has a nice grey.
