We just painted our bedroom this color! As in this afternoon we painted it. Unfortunately, the only things in this room at the moment besides old carpet is white wall switches and outlets and a new ceiling fan - not very inspiring. I will say that we painted swatches of about 6 different gray/gray-blue colors on each wall trying to find a color that would work in this north facing bedroom. So far our impression is of a soft, neutral gray which doesn't lean blue or green. The final plan includes a wall of built in cherry cabinets stained a rich "brandywine", this bed

these sconces,

colorful bedding, and bamboo floors. And crown molding; we hate cutting and installing it, but it looks so great, we do it anyway.

What room are you considering this for?

I don't have a picture of my Stonington Gray room handy (it is in a vacation home) but I wanted to reply that the room has low natural light and the color reads quite blue. It is beautiful and I love it, but it looks very different in a dark room than in a room with lots of natural light. Good luck!

Thank you for the responses.Suzanne, we are looking at if for our "all over" color for our house. Everything is brown right now and I'm trying to find a color that is more gray. I think I would prefer a taupe that has more gray than brown in it. Marina, now you have me thinking! My house has very, very little natural light in it and I definitely don't want a color that reads blue or purple. It doesn't look blue now on the sample, but who knows what it will do once the whole house is that color. I've tried BM Revere Pewter and BM collingwood as well. Both are great colors, but I think they will still be too brown for what I want. Not sure though. Such a hard decision!

It definitely reads a lot lighter if there is a lot of natural light and darker if there is less or none. I've tried to show you the variations in the pictures here. Hope this helps! Good luck!

I hear your pain. I was looking for the same color. After about 12 samples on walls including Stonington Gray, we narrowed it down to Waynesboro Taupe at 50% and 25%. We used 50% in our LR and DR and 25% on the wall of 2nd floor hall. At 25% the color definitely reads more gray than at 25%. Our home is a interior TH with minimal natural light on the LR and DR. Both rooms are open to each other.

We get a lot of compliments. Not sure of your color scheme but we wanted to be able to through some gray into our current color scheme which is brown and teal.
