Chunky wool rugs - any experience with them?

I've been admiring some knitted wool rugs lately - the ones that almost look like a cable knit sweater. Please have a look at the link for some images. I'm considering one (or two) for our cottage, would appreciate hearing about any experience or knowledge you may have. Thanks.

I think they are very pretty, but I don't like walking on them in heels.

SOCHI, think they're lovely, but also think it likely that they'd snag easily. I really like wool rugs and carpeting, especially my kilims and hooked rug. They seem indestructable. Stains are super easy to deal with and scarcely ever happen - cat throwing up, that sort of thing.

I'd saw no for a house with a cat or dog.
