I have a very small living room. 15 x 12 probably. I have medium-dark wood floors.

My couch is brown with accent pillows in the same multi-color patterened fabric as my recliner and my ottomans are a burlap/tan color.

I will have an area rug next to the couch and under the big ottoman. It's a simple floral with black border, tan, brown and a touch of steel blue.

My curtains are steel blue and my end table is black.

My recliner has a mix if all the colors mentioned above. (and the couch pillows match)

What color should my entry rug be. I just want a small one by the front door to catch some dirt. And I don;t want it being a focal point. I was thinking brown. but will that look strange with a black bordered area rug that is a focal point?

I can't decide between black (which will be harder to keep clean) or brown to match the floor and couch.
