Hi gooster! DH used Lexan for the spice holders; scored and then snapped. He didn't mind working with material.

Oh that's interesting -- the stuff looks like it would be fun to do projects, maybe even custom drawer dividers.

This is for our 2nd place (modern city loft), which which just converted part time to an AirBnB rental. We just added some clear doors to builtins with some frosted Plexiglas, and I've read that people have done backpainted plexiglass as a DIY BS (instead of tempered glass). The abrasion resistent stuff looks like it will survive cleaning a lot better than the untreated stuff, and there is a bit of a shield behind the range so heat is not a worry (and it is safe to 500F).
