Coordinating overhead lighting

Edit: I have added in pictures of the rooms as the currently are so my style is clear.

So the living room and dining room chandeliers can both be seen from the other respective rooms.

Imagine the fireplace with this insert:

We'd like to have very modern chandeliers in both rooms.
Dining room possibility: This is a custom piece that has different brass finish options and is an adjustable height.

Living room possibility:

Do they need to have the same finish? Will they coordinate well enough? We like the more spindly looking fixtures more but two of those in the same line of sight seems overdone.

Thoughts??
