Buy the rug first, then any additional baskets can be purchased to coordinate with the rug. The navy baskets are neutral enough to go with the rugs you posted, but I would not let baskets dictate my rug choice. Baskets are relatively inexpensive compared to the cost of a rug.

I think you already have the baskets, right? They are pretty! I especially like the the first one with the baskets shown, because it emphasizes the gold. The middle one doesn't seem to have any blue. I think #3 would look okay, I just don't happen to really like that rug, but that shouldn't affect your choice!

I am the opposite of olychick. :) Love number 3, number 1 would look ok.

I do like them all - I think they are all very nice..When I first looked at this I gravitated to 3. the more I looked, though, I thought that probably 1 might be easier and more complimenting. I love 3 but I just don't know if it might be too much?

What else is in the room besides the baskets? It's hard to imagine purchasing a rug to just go with a couple of baskets. Also, depending on what furniture is in the room (if there's something else besides the baskets), beware of rugs with medallions. If I had to choose one of the rugs you posted, I'd pick #1, but I wish there was at least a tiny bit of blue in it as well.

#1 for me too, lovely tones and fairly neutral. The others are very specific.

Also, the pictures show the baskets and rugs about the same size so it is impossible to select a rug without taking into account every detail of the basket. In reality they might just look like small solid blue afterthoughts that don't need to or shouldn't "match" the rug.

I prefer the jewel tones in rug #3.
