Wow that color really pops! Is that holly by the door? You may do well by trimming it back...the plant looks healthy but kind of encroaches on the entry way, and if it is holly, the leaves are sharp and are less welcoming in a feng shui way. And you want your beautiful door to be front and center....

Very nice! Fun & welcoming. Looks great with your grey brick & greenery.

Great color and pretty door. I agree about trimming the shrubs.

Thank folks - it took a long time to choose a colour! The greenery is Boston Ivy on a solid grey brick wall. I do trim it away from the doorway. The door and side light are centered so there is very little room on the wall side. Maybe I'll trim it back a little further so the door shows better. I also had a pot of Clivia near the sidelight, but the terra cotta pot and the orange blooms just didn't cut it with the new door *LOL*

Please, what paint and color did you use? I love it!

It is Benjamin Moore Aura - colour Mulberry. Took us forever to choose!

Very pretty color!! :) Love the ivy -- I have some near our front entrance -- and it needs trimming again! :)

And what a lovely door! Is it a wood screen door?

Yes, it is a wood screen door. The previous owners had added a plexiglass storm pane using little mirror clips on the outside, and had also cut a hole in it for a locking door handle. We removed the plexi and all of the little clips, took out the door handles, removed the trim (visible only on the inside) replaced the screen, replaced the trim, filled all the holes, painted, and used the old fashioned u-shaped handle, spring closer and new hinges. A simple paint job became quite a large project !
