I love the wood tones in your home, they are very common here in the PNW. While I wouldn't suggest painting all the trim, because I think it is beautiful as is but if it were my house I would paint the crown the color of the walls and probably the baseboard, too. They will mostly disappear, but still will add the finishing detail. I would leave the doors, frames and windows the natural wood color.

Now, when I look at your rooms, all I can see is the crown and baseboard. It looks to be a lovely home and I hope you enjoy it!

I hear what you're saying about the paint with the wood but here's a color my gf used and she has all stone and wood and it looks beyond gorgeous, it's between a gray and tan but with a warm feeling. I love it as it changes from day to night. Here's a google image page with pics of it but the closest in color is the round blob of paint by itself.

I have all wood trim through out my home and I am so tired of it. Mine is darker than yours. I have been considering painting it white but the natural wood seems to suit our home better. Now that I see how lovely your new home looks with the wood trim I am seeing wood trim in a new light. It truly is lovely!

This home used Hampshire Gray on the walls and it looks great with their wood trim.

Thank you yayagal and Annie for the color ideas. Both look nice. We don't plan to paint any of the wood for the time being and hope it grows on us and goes with everything.

I forgot to post an update after the house was painted. It took several tries to get a color we were happy with. It's Valspar Foggy Mirror in a SW paint. It's not 100% done but this is it so far. The green rugs are from our previous home and not sure they're going to remain in the room.

I like the paint, it looks great.
