That's a beautiful color and wonderful with tan. We remodeled our bedroom two years ago and put down a carpet in dark, slightly grayed teal (the first non-neutral carpet/rug I ever chose and I love it), but a pretty strong color. We painted our walls BM Blond Wood, which took me so long to find. It's similar to the tan on the top of your wall, although the bottom of your wall is a bit more gray. I wanted a tan with no yellow or green, and Blond Wood gave me that. I wonder if it is similar to SW Blonde. It is a color that makes a statement without yelling and it's lovely with any shade of blue. I don't know how to post a picture, but anyway, our walls in photos don't look anything like they do in real life.

Thanks Sable. I checked out blond wood and it's a beautiful shade but too light, I need a slightly darker cousin. Life would be so much easier if I had access to BM. Glad you like your teal carpet, I love the whole teal family!

Jennydotz - I also love any color from palest aqua to dark teal and everything in between. Haven't put them on our walls, as I prefer warm neutrals there, but use them liberally in accents. I wish you well in your search for the perfect color. It took me three years to settle on Blond Wood, during which time I turned our bedroom walls into a patchwork quilt of almost every tan to copper to brown in the spectrum! Good luck...

Take a look at Shaker Beige, you may like it.

In our last house, we had our living room painted with SW Kilim beige, which was a wonderful warm neutral. I think it's a bit lighter than you're looking for, but maybe you could find the color that's one or two shades darker than it on its color chip card. In this house, we did the same color combo of a teal accent wall and tan walls and I love it! Unfortunately, I'm no help with the tan as it came with the house, and we haven't yet been able to identify it... Good luck!

ilene-I looked at the shaker beige pics on the web and that's definitely in the ballpark. I wonder what the SW equivalent is? mpg-The next color darker from kilim beige is nomadic desert, another contender, thanks! Whatever I pick will likely go in a lot of the house (open floor plan) so I really don't want to hate it. I'm having pangs of buyer's remorse anyway! The house I'm leaving is mostly painted SW Eggwhite, a yellow-based cream with with all white trim. My eye is so used to that color that all these beiges seem dull or dirty to me. Funny, on another thread people were talking about how they thought yellow creams looked dirty. My eye must be skewed! The new house has this pretty horrible dark wood trim that I'm stuck with, and the yellow creams that I like look horrible (at least on the SW visualizer), definitely need more color. It's currently painted some light beige that looks super washed out in the open floor plan. And its a flat finish that will never work in my house with pets and kids (otherwise I might live with it).
