My Quest for Shoe Organization

We keep most of our shoes in our closets, but some of them migrate to the mudroom. The cubbies are too small for all of them; the shelves from Container Store weren't sturdy and became a train wreck; there is an awkward floor vent that dictates either something with a small footprint or something with legs (not a flat bottom.)

My solution, not perfect but works for now...

Wine rack from Goodwill: $6.99

3 cans of red spray paint: $21

A bit of organization: Priceless

Love the idea and very clever execution, the red is wonderful! I do not think my husbands shoes would fit in those spaces meant for wine bottles unless they were magnums, though, lol.

Great thinking outside the box!

kswl: you're right, big shoes don't fit well and we don't have small feet in our family!

Definitely not room for DS's size 13 extra high top basketball shoes. That's a lot of shoe...

You have a good imagination to be able to think about the possibilities of the wine rack. It looks great in red.
