I finally got all the loose and peeling paint of the ceiling and have painted one of the bays to test my plan.

After getting some good advice in the Paint Forum, I went with a Peel Bond type primer on the bottoms of the floorboards.

But do you think they are too dark?

I figure I have three choices;
1) Continue on as planned.
2) Paint them out while along with the beams
3) Water down the white paint and just try to white wash them a little to lighten them up.

Any opinions?
