Update on kitchen fabric- what say you?

I posted a few days ago trying to figure out which direction to go with my kitchen. I am still pondering my options. However, I was at a client's house today and saw some handmade coasters that magically have all the colors I'm working with! There was a web address on the back that I followed to an Etsy site. Turns out the lady who makes these lives about 15 minutes down the road. I've contacted her to see if she owns the image files and ask how she would feel about selling me an image file so I can turn it into fabric (using a site like Spoonflower). It's a little out of my budget for this project, but I'm willing if one of these is the perfect pattern.

What say you all? Too busy? The coasters are 4.25" square to give you an idea of pattern size. These prints are much smaller scale than my curtains.

Are these for fabric to recover your chairs. If so, not #1. I loooove #2. The colours are so cheery. I would love to have that fabric in my kitchen.

No, I decided to leave my curtains where they are. And yes, these are other chair upholstery options.

Number 1 seems too similar of a pattern to the draperies even though the scale is different. Number 2 is a maybe. I'd have to see it in your room. You decided against the bird print from before?

I still love the bird print, but I'm still struggling with the fact that it competes with the curtains. I was considering using the bird fabric on two of the chairs since they will primarily live in our office and only brought out for guests. The bird fabric will go fabulously with what I'm doing in there :)

That said, I was trying to find a way to do the chairs in the kitchen that would still coordinate with the chairs in the office.... that way they still look like a complete set when all four are in the kitchen. Haven't figured out a good way to do that. The bird fabric would look amazing on a navy painted chair, but if the kitchen chairs are navy too, that throws off my fabric options in there.

I just got really excited today when I saw these coasters that have all the colors, including my wild card island. I was close to biting the bullet and ordering the fabric that voila posted from Calico Corners until I saw these.

I agree that #1 is too similar to the curtain fabric. For some reason I don't see #2 coordinating with the more contemporary feel of the curtain print. Also, I think it might be visual overload being situated so close to the window. Would you be opposed to a vibrant stripe pattern?

I think a stripe would be best for the seats. You could find one that combines all the colors in the room and wouldn't compete with the pattern on the curtains.

also if you look on fabricguru.com there are usually remnants for a decent price. It wouldn't take more than a few yards to do your seats.
